Resources For Healing

If you're like most people you likely feel overwhelmed trying to wade through like....the entire internet....trying to find answers to your health problems or the health concerns of your children or loved ones.

I hear you. I've been there. While this list is by no means exhaustive, I have linked books, documentaries, and products here that could be the "missing link" in your healing, or, at the very least, a tool to get you going in a more healthful direction.

If you are struggling with cancer, diabetes, heart disease, a stress related condition, or something else then read through this list and click on whatever resource resonates with your condition.

I trust one (or more) of these resources will land in the hands of the person who needs it, and because of it will find the healing and health we all desire and deserve.

Books:

When the Body Says No: Exploring the Stress-Disease Connection: This book by Dr. Gabor Mate explores modern research that confirms the inseparable connection between our emotions and our physical health. Repressed emotions cause stress that often lead to both chronic and acute diseases ranging from heart disease, diabetes, IBS, MS, anorexia and cancer. This is such an important read! You can get a copy hereWhen The Body Says No

Additionally I recommend looking into Gabor Mate's other works related to stress, disease, and trauma.. You can google his books, find him on Youtube and some popular podcasts these days.

Waking the Tiger: This book by Peter Levine normalizes the symptoms of trauma and lays a foundation for how to heal them. The effects of trauma are widespread in society today ranging from anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addictions, cancer, MS, and much more. Trauma leaves an energetic residue in our tissue that can, and very often does, manifest as serious physical disease. Understanding this is imperative for health and happiness. I highly recommend this book. You can get your copy here: Waking the Tiger

Another great resource from trauma healing and nervous system regulation is the work of Irene Lyon. She has courses, articles and tons of free content available on Youtube. You can check her out at her website linked here: Irene Lyon

The Gerson Therapy: The Gerson therapy is a proven nutritional program to fight cancer and other diseases. If you, or a loved one have been diagnosed with cancer, I very much encourage you to look into the Gerson therapy program. There are also Gerson Therapy treatment programs available as well. You can check out the book here: The Gerson Therapy And their website here: Gerson Website

Mastering Diabetes: For anyone who is struggling with insulin resistance with type 1, type 2, or gestational diabetes, this book is for you. Is it the sugar that causes diabetes? Or something else? This book will answer the widely misunderstood topic of diabetes. You can get a copy here: Mastering Diabetes

You're Not Broken: This book by Christopher Duncan radically changed my perception. Moving from a "broken", in need of "fixing" mentality into one of creation where I recognized I'm already everything I long to be (healthy, happy, love) was a profound shift in consciousness I deeply desire for everyone to experience. Without knowing that WHO you are IS health, innately and fundamentally, health may continue to allude you. You can get a copy here: You're Not Broken

The China Study: The China Study is the "most comprehensive study on nutrition ever conducted". It was one of the very first books I read on diet and its relation to health and it immediately persuaded me to begin adopting a whole foods, plant based diet. This book is a must read when it comes to what we need to be eating (and not eating!) when it comes to reversing issues like obesity, heart disease, cancer, diabetes and more. You can get a copy here:  The China Study

Documentaries:

Heal: A documentary by Kelly Noonan Gores about the power of the mind to HEAL the body featuring healers such as Deepak Choprah, Bruce Lipton, Joe Dispenza, and Marianne Williamson. It's available to watch on Amazon Prime.

What the Health: This documentary examines the link between diet and disease, and the billions of dollars at stake in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and food industries. It is available to watch on Netflix.

Earthlings: This documentary film is about humanity's use of other animals as pets, food, clothing, entertainment, and for scientific research. Filmmaker Shaun Monson exposes the suffering endured by animals at factory farms, research labs, puppy mills and more. Warning: this film can be pretty gruesome and troubling to watch Though immensely important we're aware of what goes on in at factory farmers, research labs, etc, this can be very upsetting to watch. You can watch here: Watch Earthlings

Detox Tools:

While it's so important to educate yourself through books, documentaries and podcasts there are also some practical tools you can add to your routine to promote detox and overall healthful living. Here are some of the tools I use and recommend my clients use:

Enema Kit: Enemas can be a powerful tool for cleaning out the colon and supporting the liver so it can better do its job (detox!). I know enemas can feel intimidating at first if you've never done one, but truly they are not so scary at all! A great enema kit is this one: Enema Kit

Massage Gun: Massages of all kinds are great for releasing tension and stress and for lymphatic movement. This massage gun is great for self massage to encourage lymphatic drainage and to help those kidneys filter even better. This is the massage gun I recommend: Massage Gun

Dry Brush: This simple but mighty tool helps promote lymphatic movement, circulation and unclogs your pores to encourage more sweating (so greater detox!) It's easy to use, inexpensive and leaves your skin feeling baby soft! This is the one I have: Dry Brush

Sauna Blanket: Saunas are an awesome way to encourage sweating and the release of toxins. If you have the means to use a full body sauna whether at your house or at a local gym, I totally encourage you to use that! If not a sauna blanket can be a great, lower cost, more compact option. This is the sauna blanket I recommend: Sauna Blanket

I trust that those resources will be valuable for you or someone you love. Of course take care to do the things we all know we need to do: eat your fruits and vegetables, find a way YOU love to move your body and exercise, get plenty of rest, etc.

If you would like to look at a list of additional resources (more books, kitchen items, herbs, detox tools, exercise equipment, superfood powders, etc) you can look at everything I have linked here in my Amazon shop. There is A LOT of additional information and resources there. Click here: Additional Resources

And if you need help going deeper, implementing a healthy, plant based diet and lifestyle I would be honored to guide you on that journey. You can read more about my 1:1 health mentorship program here and contact me through this link if you're ready to massively up level your health!
